Why Quilters Choose INNOVA

Longarm buyers are careful for a reason. A machine in this class is a major investment. You want beautiful stitches, dependable performance, smooth movement, strong support, and confidence that the machine will not become a source of tension headaches or regret.

INNOVA is built for quilters who want a longarm that feels solid, precise, and dependable from the first stitch to the final border.

Beautiful, Consistent Stitches

INNOVA’s Lightning Stitch regulation is designed to help produce consistent stitches as you move through curves, points, ruler work, feathers, fills, borders, and edge-to-edge designs. The goal is simple: give you more control and more confidence while you quilt.

The true test of a longarm is not just the top of the quilt. It is the back. That is where tension problems show. During your Jackman’s demo, we encourage you to inspect both sides of the stitch sample so you can see the result for yourself.

Made for Long-Term Quilting, Not Just Showroom Appeal

INNOVA longarms are known for their strong engineering, smooth operation, and serious build quality. These machines are made for quilters who expect to use their longarm often, whether that means finishing family quilts, quilting for friends, or running a quilting business.

A good longarm should make quilting feel easier, not more stressful. INNOVA is designed to give you the stable, confident feel serious quilters look for when they are ready to move beyond small throat machines or domestic-machine frustration.

Freedom Now. Automation When You Want It.

Some quilters love free-motion quilting. Some want computerized edge-to-edge designs. Many want both. INNOVA gives you a path that can grow with you.

Choose a hand-guided setup, add digital pantograph guidance, or step into AutoPilot Mach 3 computerized quilting for repeatable, precise, professional-looking results. Jackman’s can help you understand which setup makes the most sense for your quilting style and budget.

Choose the INNOVA That Fits the Way You Quilt

INNOVA M20 — Serious Longarm Capability in a More Manageable Footprint

The INNOVA M20 with 20" throat space is ideal for the quilter who wants true longarm performance but needs to be smart about space. It is a strong choice for a home studio, sewing room, finished basement, or dedicated quilting area where every foot matters.

Choose the M20 if you want to step into the INNOVA family with a capable, confidence-building machine that gives you room to grow without automatically moving into the largest footprint.

INNOVA M24 — The Sweet Spot for Many Serious Quilters

The INNOVA M24 with 24" throat space is often the model that makes the most sense for quilters who want more working room, more creative freedom, and a machine that can serve them for many years. The larger throat space gives you more room for blocks, borders, custom quilting, and larger design areas before advancing the quilt.

Choose the M24 if you want a longarm that feels like a major upgrade without feeling excessive. For many quilters, this is the “buy it once and enjoy it for years” choice.

INNOVA M28 — Maximum Room for the Quilter Who Wants More

The INNOVA M28 with 28" throat space is for the quilter who wants maximum throat space and serious production capability. It is especially appealing for professional longarm quilters, high-volume quilters, and buyers who want the most room in the INNOVA M Series.

Choose the M28 if you want the flagship feel, the most working space, and the confidence of a system built for ambitious quilting.

AutoPilot Mach 3 Computerized Quilting

For Perfect Repeats, Faster Finishing, and Professional Results

AutoPilot Mach 3 is INNOVA’s computerized quilting system for quilters who want precision, repeatability, and productivity. It is a powerful option for edge-to-edge quilting, customer quilts, business use, and quilters who want beautiful results with less manual strain.

For a professional longarm business, computerized quilting can help increase consistency and efficiency. For a hobby quilter, it can make advanced-looking quilting feel more approachable. You can still enjoy hands-on creativity, but AutoPilot Mach 3 gives you another level of control when you want repeatable, polished results.

Not sure whether computerized quilting is right for you? That is exactly why Jackman’s recommends a private demo. Seeing the software in person makes the decision much easier.

The Jackman’s Fabrics Difference

Do Not Buy a Longarm From a Website That Cannot Stand Behind You

A longarm is not like buying a small boxed machine. It needs to fit your space. It needs to be set up correctly. You need to understand the frame, the machine head, loading, threading, bobbins, tension, needles, rulers, software options, maintenance, and the learning curve.

That is why buying from Jackman’s Fabrics matters.

Jackman’s has been serving quilters, sewists, and makers for generations. We are a real brick-and-mortar store with real people, real classrooms, real machine experience, and real support after the sale.

Delivery, Setup, Training, and Support for Machines Purchased From Jackman’s

When you purchase your INNOVA from Jackman’s Fabrics, we support what we sell. We help guide you before the purchase, help you understand your options, and support you after the purchase.

Every INNOVA longarm purchased through Jackman’s is backed by our commitment to helping you succeed. From delivery and setup to training and ongoing support, we help make the process easier so you can feel confident before, during, and after your purchase.

Our support is for machines purchased from Jackman’s Fabrics.

White-Glove Delivery Options

Depending on your location and the machine package selected, white-glove delivery may be available through INNOVA within the contiguous United States or Jackman’s will provide local delivery within approximately 100 miles of our stores.

Because longarm delivery and setup depend on the machine, frame, room access, stairs, distance, scheduling, and current manufacturer options, Jackman’s will confirm the correct delivery path before your purchase is finalized.

Training That Helps You Actually Use the Machine

A longarm is only valuable if you feel comfortable using it. Jackman’s helps new owners understand the machine, the frame, loading basics, threading, tension checks, stitch regulation, and the best first steps for building confidence.

Our goal is not simply to sell you a longarm. Our goal is to help you become comfortable enough to use it.

Why a Test Drive Matters

You can read specifications online for hours, but a longarm decision becomes much clearer when you put your hands on the handles.

During your INNOVA demo at Jackman’s, you can:

  • Feel how the machine moves on the frame
  • See the stitch quality in person
  • Compare model options and throat space
  • Discuss room size and frame length
  • Ask about AutoPilot Mach 3 computerized quilting
  • Review delivery and setup options
  • Ask about financing options
  • Understand what Jackman’s support includes

Bring your questions. Bring your room measurements. If possible, bring a quilt top or a sample project idea. We want you to leave with clarity, not confusion.

Common Longarm Buying Fears — Answered Honestly

“Will I struggle with tension?”

1. The Patented Innova Tension Assembly (Simplicity by Design)
Most longarms use generic, spring-loaded tension disks that are incredibly finicky. A microscopic piece of lint or a fraction of a turn can throw the whole machine out of whack.
Innova designed a heavy-duty, commercial-grade tension assembly. It is linear, predictable, and holds its setting. Once you set your tension for a specific thread weight, it stays there. You won't have to constantly babysit the machine or make micro-adjustments every time you speed up or slow down.
2. Digital Stitch Regulation (Perfect Speed Matching)
Tension issues usually happen when the machine head moves faster than the needle can cycle, stretching the thread. Innova’s legendary stitch regulator communicates with the motor instantly. Whether you are moving the machine at a slow crawl or bursting into a fast swirl, the needle speed matches your hand movement perfectly. Consistent speed equals consistent, identical tension across the entire quilt.
3. The "Rigid Frame" Advantage (Zero Flex)
This is the hidden culprit behind most tension problems. Cheaper frames flex and bend under the weight of a heavy machine head. When the frame flexes, the distance between the needle bar and the bobbin case shifts by a fraction of a millimeter. That tiny shift ruins your tension.
The Innova Pro-Frame is built out of heavy-gauge, non-deflecting steel. It is rock solid. Because the frame never flexes, the alignment between your needle and your bobbin remains perfectly microscopic, stitch after stitch, year after year.
4. Look at the Back: The Ultimate Proof
We don't expect you to take our word for it. When you come into Jackman’s for your private demo, we won't just show you the beautiful top of the quilt. We invite you to look at the back.
The back of the quilt tells the absolute truth. You will see perfectly locked, balanced, and identical stitches, whether you are using thick cotton thread, finicky metallic thread, or slick polyester.

“What if I am not technical enough for computerized quilting?”

You do not need to be a computer expert to explore computerized quilting. AutoPilot Mach 3 is designed to help quilters create repeatable quilting designs with a guided workflow. The best way to know whether it feels comfortable is to see it demonstrated in person.

At Jackman’s, we can show you the difference between hand-guided quilting, digital pantograph guidance, and computerized quilting so you can choose the level of technology that fits you.

“What if I buy too small or too large?”

That is one of the most important reasons to work with a local dealer. Bigger is not always better if the frame overwhelms your room. Smaller is not always better if you will quickly outgrow the throat space.

Bring your room measurements to Jackman’s. We will help you think through frame length, walking clearance, access around the machine, quilt sizes, and the way you plan to use the longarm.

“What if I need help after the sale?”

Jackman’s supports what we sell. When you purchase your INNOVA from Jackman’s Fabrics, you have a real store to contact, real people to ask, and a local relationship behind your purchase.

Support terms, service options, delivery options, manufacturer support, and training details can vary by machine package and location, so we will review the current support path with you before purchase.

Trade-Ins

Have a current sewing, quilting, or longarm machine? Ask Jackman’s about current trade-in possibilities. Trade-in options depend on the machine brand, model, condition, age, etc.

For the most accurate discussion, bring photos, the model number, accessories included, and any service history you may have.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much space do I need for an INNOVA longarm?

The space needed depends on the machine, frame length, accessories, and how much walking clearance you want around the frame. A 10-foot, 12-foot, or 14-foot frame requires more than just the frame length because you need room to stand, load quilts, access the machine, and work comfortably.

Before buying, measure your room carefully and bring those measurements to Jackman’s. We can help you think through which frame size makes sense for your home or studio.

Should I choose the M20, M24, or M28?

With INNOVA’s M-Series models, the model number tells you the throat space in inches: M20 = 20 inches, M24 = 24 inches, and M28 = 28 inches.

A larger throat space gives you more room between the needle and the back of the machine. That extra space lets you quilt a larger section before advancing the quilt, which can make large projects smoother, faster, and less interrupted.

The best choice depends on your room size, quilt sizes, budget, and whether you quilt mainly for yourself or plan to quilt for customers.

Can I try one before I buy?

Yes. That is exactly what we recommend. A longarm should be experienced in person whenever possible. Schedule a demo at Jackman’s and feel the machine before making your decision.

Does Jackman’s service machines bought somewhere else?

Jackman’s supports what we sell. Our INNOVA sales support, training, delivery guidance, and related support are for machines purchased from Jackman’s Fabrics.

Is white-glove delivery available?
